Meeting the Family

The last three days have been full with Faith Ann getting to meet new members of the Elmatti & Campbell Clan. Thursday night the Elmatti boys gathered together at their grandfather's house and Faith Ann got to meet her other cousin's Noah (8 months) and Nadya (3 mo) together for the first time. On Friday night she met Grandma & Grandpa Campbell (my folks) for the first time. Today we spent 3 hours at the Picture People shop in the Mall of Millenia taking dozens of pictures of the family. We celebrated the accomplishment of having the whole family together and surviving still smiling after many a camera flash with an early b-day celebration for Heather and I at the Cheesecake factory. Above are some choice pics form these meetings.

Time for Tea

It has become an annual tradition for my twin sister and I to celebrate our Birthday together at a lovely tea room called the Garden Gate. We even have special matching"tea hats" that we wear each time we visit. Today Faith Ann joined us for her first tea party, dressing the part in a pretty lace dress and even having her own wee tea cup. I think she enjoyed herself... even though she slept through most of it. Heather & I enjoyed our 4 course feast of salmon roullade, Jamaican sorbet, assorted tea sandwiches, scones and mini cakes. Above are some pics from our wonderful tea time!

Faith Ann at 3 weeks

After a 5-hour delay I finally arrived in Florida at 3.40 am, where my weary bro-in-law picked me up at the Orlando airport and we headed north to their home...to meet my new niece. We arrived bright and early, in time for a early morning feed, and I got to say hello to wee Faith Ann and even help give her abottle feed and learn burping techniques. As one might expect the day's events for my sister revolve around Faith Ann's eating, sleeping & changing schedule. Today I got to learn how to change poopy diapers, oh joy! My sister uses olive oil instead of baby oil or cream on Faith Ann so I have started to calling her "bertolli baby" (Robb--the dad--is Italian after all!). The pics above are of my first diaper changing lesson and Faith Ann & Dad taking a sunday afternoon nap.

Off the play Auntie!

Tommorrow I am leaving to visit my sister and brother-in-law in FL and meet my new niece! Am looking forward to playing peek-a-boo and not looking forward to learning how to change diapers! Hope to provide some new pics as well.

I'm an Auntie

About 9 days ago I became and Auntie, but I have only just received the pictorial proof from my sister & brother-in-law. Faith Ann made a quick appearance weighting in at a slim 6.2 lbs and at 19in long. Isn't she cute..as far as squishy-faced newborns go!
